Da Nang and Hoi An in Central Vietnam feature tropical monsoon weather, with the typical temperature ranges from 19°C to 35°C and rarely falls below 17°C or rises higher than 37°C.
The warmer season is from April till October, with the average high temperature around 33°C and average low of 26°C. The cooler months are between November and March, with the average high around 24°C and average low of 19°C.
Late September till early November are the closest months to an “off season” in Da Nang and Hoi An, when the chance of rain is high. However, during these months Da Nang and Hoi An still enjoy more than 150 hours of sunshine per month (15 days of sunshine). Unless it’s a major typhoon, there are still a lot of activities to do on a rainy day in Da Nang or Hoi An.
